YouTube does not require any introduction. With almost 2 Billion user, YouTube is the second most popular site in the world after Google. So, if you are in Nepal and you have a mindset that it is too late to start a YouTube channel or I cannot succeed then it is the time to change your mindset.

This step by step process is not only applicable in Nepal but throughout the world. You must have read many blogs about this topic but today I will share you some common mistakes that beginners make while starting a channel. Most beginners fail on youtube because they expect too much at the beginning and eventually leave when they don't see any results in a month or two. You cannot get 1000 subscribers in 1 day or a week unless you are a celebrity. You have to work hard at it.

Here are the steps you need to follow if you are thinking of starting a YouTube channel or you have a channel but cannot grow it.

1. Don't do it for Full Time
Beginners give their 100% for making their first video and when they upload it, they get upset because it will not meet their expectations and probably they will leave making videos. So it is important for beginners to work on the channel for 1 or 2 hours everyday. Even you are excited to make and upload your video as quickly as possible, don't work on it for too long continuously. It will make you exhausted and soon your excitation will be over. If you complete all of your work in one day, they you will not have a reason to work tomorrow and your channel will have only one video forever.

2. Have Patience
Your first video will not get the results you were dreaming of. Probably 1% of your expectations and tha't fine. Growing youtube channel takes time. Nothing will happen over night. It is your patience that will help you at the starting of your channel. After uploading the first video, start working on another video without any second thought in your mind. Only think of your next video and how you can improve it from your first one.

3. Be Consistent
"Consistency is the key", and this is not only a quote but a secret key to success. Make videos consistently either it is once a week or once a month, upload your videos regularly. Your consistency and hardwork will soon payoff when you will have 5 to 10 videos on your channel and you have overcome the beginners phase and then there will be no looking back.

4. Focus on Content and be Proud of it
Your first video will be your worst video. But you should learn from your videos and gradually improve over time. You should focus on the content of your video and strictly stick to the niche of your channel even if the quality of your initial videos are not good. Make good content videos, quality will improve over time. Even if your first few videos are worst in the world, be proud of it because it is your many days of hardwork. But you cannot make every video the worst. You should learn from your mistakes that you made in your previous video and constantly improve because it is also a part of your work and in my opinion, it is the most important part of your video making process.

5. Use Social media to Promote your videos
You should start promoting your channel from the very video you upload. Now is the time to use social networking  sites to promote your channel instead of chatting and scrolling newsfeed. It will cost you nothing to promote your channel through facebook and instagram.

i. Tell your Friends on Facebook:
Show your work to your facebook friends and instagram followers. It is a community you have built and they will be source of your initial subscribers. Probably you will get your first 100 subscribers from your friends on facebook and followers on instagram and those subscribers will be the one who will support you through your initial phase of your channel.

ii. Create a Facebook page:
Make cuts of the interesting parts of your videos and upload it on your page and ask the viewers to visit your youtube channel to watch full video.

iii. Share you Videos as much as Possible:
Join different groups on facebook which is in your niche and share your videos there. If your video content is really good, you will probably get 10 subscribers per week but lesser than that is also appreciable.

iv. Ask your friends for help:
You must have friends on facebook and instagram who have great number of friends and followers. Ask them to post about your youtube channel. You will get some subscribers from that too.

It will take time to reach your first 1000 subscribers. The key is to work consistently on your channel and on the content of your video.
